2012 Leesburg Business Appreciation Award Nominess Announced

Leesburg, VA (May 3, 2012) – The Town of Leesburg is pleased to announce the nominees for the 11th annual Business Appreciation Awards. Nominations were accepted for outstanding businesses and individuals in ten award categories. The Leesburg Business Appreciation Award program is the Leesburg business community’s premier annual event. It celebrates the Leesburg business community and specifically the independent business owners who are the backbone of our community and our nation’s economy.

  • The Rising Star award celebrates a Leesburg business which has been in operation for less than one year and has set itself apart from other businesses through its exemplary achievements. The recipient of this award is chosen by the Leesburg Economic Development Commission.

  • To be eligible for nomination, businesses and organizations must be primarily physically located within the corporate limits of the Town of Leesburg. Persons nominated for the George C. Marshall Award are not required to reside within the Town limits.

    Nominees and award recipients will be recognized at the 11th Annual Business Appreciation Reception on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the Holiday Inn Leesburg at Historic Carradoc Hall. Businesses that have been operating for 25 years or more will also be recognized at the reception as Leesburg’s Legacy Businesses.
