Leesburg, VA (June 19, 2012) – At 5:00pm, on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, Town of Leesburg officials will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for the grand opening of Events in the City at 3 West Market Street in Historic Downtown Leesburg. Leesburg Mayor Kristen C. Umstattd will officiate.
Events In The City is a wedding and special event coordination and design company, founded by Laura Ritchie and Megan Pollard in Spring 2009. In 2010, they welcomed a new addition to the team, Christie McGuire. The three pride themselves on being professional, yet relating with each of their clients on a personal level.
"We want to open the environment to live out our motto: Innovate, Create, and Celebrate,” said founder Megan Pollard.
With a busy year ahead, Events In The City welcomes the new opportunities and are thrilled to have a charming studio in downtown Leesburg.
"Every corner of the downtown is filled with inspiration. It sets the perfect tone for our clients as they walk through the door,” said Christie McGuire, Events Designer.
Though Events In The City does the majority of their work with wedding event design and coordination, they also produce fundraisers, birthday parties, baby showers, and bridal showers. They help clients create events that will showcase their personalities, while minding their budget and allowing them to be a guest at their own event.
Founder Laura Ritchie explains, "There is nothing more important that having a helping hand execute all of your wants and needs at your special event so you, the host, can actually enjoy it."
